Slice to Meet You
Every year, the Savannah College of Art and Design’s UX department runs a student-led, week-long design sprint and competition. Startup inspires students to tackle real problems, prototype inventive solutions, and pitch to industry professionals — turning the program’s focus on creativity, technology, and innovation into a hands-on experience. The competition kicked off with the theme reveal: “Designing for Human Connections”. Once announced, each group had 7 days to brainstorm, develop, test, and revise their product before the semi-finals at the end of the week.
Slice to Meet You is an icebreaker, party game specifically made for weddings to encourage guests to get out of their seats and comfort zones and mingle with other guests at the wedding. Read to learn more about the product my team (consisting of myself and 3 of my close friends) developed as a solution to bring human connection back to events.
Though this was a joint team project, I was tasked with creating the consumer-facing product website. Within the website, the couple can customize and personalize their Slice to Meet You card game to match the wedding of their dreams.
