Design Remix

Project Type: Digital Creation

Created With: Adobe Illustrator

The set of six posters was created over ten weeks. This project aimed to create a series of posters for an exhibition given by a speaker at a museum of our choosing. Artists inspired the content within the posters during a specific art movement studied within the chapters we covered in class. Through visual and textual research, I created a poster campaign influenced by the style and design characteristics of each chosen highlighted artist, as well as the styles used during their respective movements.

I chose Natasha Jen, from the company Pentagram, as the speaker for the lecture series and the Carnegie Museum of Art, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as the location. The title of the series, "Authorship", came from a quote by Jen, and the subjects of each poster are popular icons and figures seen throughout the city of Pittsburgh.
